So I left In-N-Out three years ago (almost four!), just after I graduated high school. I was a level four after about two years there. I left because I was 18 and stupid and thought an office job would be a better idea. |
Long story short, turns out not.
I left (as far as I know :-) ) on good terms, and quite frankly I thrived at In n Out (probably because they didn't treat me like crap, unlike some of the other companies I've worked for since.)
At any rate, I'm planning on 'returning to the fold' if they'll have me.
Anyone having any experience with rehiring? I'd love to hear your stories!
Aw! That's so exciting. What store did you work at?
The only re-hiring story I have is my friend who got fired for handing out a free medium cup. He called his dm after a couple months, and asked for his job back. He was a lvl 5 with only a couple previous write-ups (for drawer shortages, I think) but no big deal. He got his job back and now he's working as a lvl6. That's about it.
Anyways, good luck, and I'm sure they will re-hire you!
I worked at 67 in Irvine, right below corporate. :-)
Fired for handing out a cup? Sheesh. I wasn't even fired, I just left. :-) From what I hear, I'm pretty much a shoo-in, so I'm pretty excited. I was level 4 when I left, so hopefully I can go back at that level. INO is one of the only hourly wage jobs that actually makes it possible to you know, LIVE in southern california.
Ahh, down south! My friend was from 92 Hawthorne.
Yea, there should be no problem for you getting hired! And I know that lvl 4's make way more now then they did back in the day! :).
I just got my lvl 6, so that extra 75 cents helps out A LOT.
Yeah, I heard the pay grades went up. What I made as a lvl four is now starting pay around here. It's madness!
I know a lot has changed in three/four years though. New grills, taking credit cards, etc. Not to mention Mrs. Snyder's death (:-( ). The only thing I worry about is that maybe the compnay isn't as close knit as it once was, what with the expansion and all. But that's probably just silliness. :-)
i think i was a low 4***** something. this was back in 2001 (when I started). i wonder if i'll get my old number back? :-D
I worked at In-N-Out for 3 years then quit to focus on school but went back a month later and now I'm working on my level 7. I left on good terms so they let me come back. PLUS everyone always says, "They always come back." It seems like so many people at my store either quit or got fired......and are back. Yeah, represent 63. :)
